If you’ve been in Blueberry Hill, it’s hard to miss our giant Simpsons collection! Our giant display case filled to the entryway is filled with everything from figurines to Pez dispensers…not to mention rare items like Valentine’s Day cards and Christmas ornaments.

The Simpsons have been a part of American culture for over 30 years (they debuted on the Tracey Ullman show in 1987). The Simpsons officially came on the air in 1989. Homer, Marge, Bart, Lisa and Maggie Simpson are a staple in television history, having been portrayed in 629 episodes of The Simpsons. With that kind of history, it’s pretty easy to see how we’ve accumulated so much Simpsons over the years!

You might not know that we have even MORE Simpsons collectibles in some of our other rooms. Our Pac Man room, for instance, has a large case filled with plates, lunch boxes, clocks, and scenes from The Simpsons’ town of “Springfield.”

Even our Dart Room is a home to some of our Simpsons collection!

With The Simpsons still going strong after 29 seasons, we might need to make more space for even more Simpsons goodies! D’oh!

Our Vintage Schlitz Lamps

It’s hard not to notice the classic Schlitz lamps illuminating our Dining Room-Blueberry Hill’s ambiance certainly would not be the same without the ten vintage lamps adorning our wooden booths.

Our restaurant would not be the same without our gold ladies!

These vintage pieces are straight from 1971-just before our restaurant opened in 1972. The Joseph Schlitz Brewing Company is actually much older; the company was founded in the mid-1850s in Milwaukee, Wisconsin.

Isn’t our original sign groovy?

The timeless American lager was served when our restaurant opened (and when we just served hot dogs and peanuts!). Despite a break in the making of this delicious beer, we are proud to serve its classic 1960s formula in bottles today!

Blueberry Hill and Joe Edwards…Featured in Archie Comics!

Did you know that Joe Edwards met Archie and Jughead…in person? Well, at least he did in print in the Archie’s Pals and Gals Comic Book in 1989!

Displayed in our Dining Room, the Archie “Car Quest West” story features Saint Louis, Blueberry Hill, and our fearless owner, Joe!

Archie is searching for his lost vehicle, “Betsy,” in our great city. However, it turns out to be Joe’s beautiful beauty, “Mississippi Belle.” Despite the mix-up, Joe wishes Archie and Jughead good wishes on their journey-and is forever immortalized in the classic comic book.

Our Many Classic Concert Posters

Blueberry Hill has plenty of rock’n’roll memorabilia, including plenty of concert posters located throughout our restaurant. These posters are great pieces of art—and a great way to take a stroll down memory lane.

This vintage Woodstock poster, located in our Dining Room, is an awesome reminder of the iconic music festival that paved the way for the many fun summer music festivals to come.

Other classic posters, located in our Piano Room, celebrate the performances of music heroes such as the Rolling Stones, Neil Young, Fats Domino, and Chuck Berry. This is only a small sampling of the posters that are located in the Piano Room.

Even more posters specifically showcase concerts from St. Louis history. These posters are from performances at Kiel Auditorium—now better known as the Peabody Opera House.

So come on in, take a look around—maybe we even have a poster of a concert that you attended!

Relive the Magic of Pee-Wee’s Playhouse!

Chairy, Pterri Pterodactyl,Globey – who can forget the fabulous characters of Pee-Wee’s Playhouse? The classic children television program was shown on Saturday mornings from 1986 to 1991, and it certainly holds a special place in many families’ hearts. Several movies also featured Pee-Wee and friends, like Pee-Wee’s Big Adventure.

Here at Blueberry Hill, we have plenty of Pee-Wee memorabilia, including the vintage Pee Wee Herman Playhouse Thermos Co. lunchbox from 1987-plus many figurines and books. Check out the collection in our Dining Room and take a fun trip down memory lane!

Visit Our Beatles Memorabilia Collection in our Dining Room!

The display case in our Dining Room is filled with so many unique and amazing pieces of memorabilia but the most eye-catching is probably our Beatles collection—especially the Sgt. Pepper’s Lonely Hearts Club Band Figurines.

2017 marks the 50th anniversary of this classic Beatles album, and there will be a reissue of the album released this year to commemorate this influential work. This album spent 15 weeks at number one in the United States and went on to win four Grammy Awards.

The porcelain figurines on display in our Dining Room are from a limited run in 1987 to celebrate the 20th anniversary of the Sgt. Peppers Lonely Heart Club Band album and its beautiful cover artwork.

Waited on John Mulaney (comedian)

First time you visited Blueberry Hill?

Came here for the first time with my Mom when I was 13 – I remember the great burgers.

What’s something random about you?

I compulsively flip a coin (a 1979 Kennedy Half dollar to be exact) when on shift.

Secret to Blueberry Hill’s success?

Uniqueness. Authenticity. A casual cool that corporations would have to spend millions of dollars to cultivate.

Our Collection of Chuck Berry Memorabilia on Display

Thanks to owner Joe Edwards, who has been collecting Chuck Berry memorabilia since he was a teenager before he ever met Chuck Berry, Blueberry Hill has the largest collection on permanent display in the world. That sounds wild but we actually have more pieces than the Smithsonian and the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame, although they have fantastic collections you should see as well.

So after you snap your picture with the Chuck Berry Statue across the street and visit his St. Louis Walk of Fame star in front of Blueberry Hill, come inside to see what we have!

Be sure to see an old concert poster of Chuck Berry over the Grateful Dead and Janis Joplin at Fillmore West. And Chuck Berry and the Doors playing New Year’s Eve at Fillmore West at Winterland.

We have many items from the making of the movie Hail! Hail! Rock & Roll and items from Chuck Berry’s Rock & Roll Hall of Fame induction.

We also have a cast of Chuck Berry’s hands playing the guitar. It’s surprising how large his hands were.

We have a rare old poster from Chuck’s early days in which the Crank Club in St. Louis spelled his name incorrectly. They listed him as “Chuck Berryn.”

We have an old Rolling Stone cover from 1969.

We know you’ll enjoy seeing this historic memorabilia!

Our James “Cool Papa” Bell Memorabilia

Baseball season is almost here! Cardinals Opening Day is Sunday, April 2nd. It’s practically an official St. Louis holiday. We have plenty of baseball memorabilia here at Blueberry Hill to get you in the spirit, including a James “Cool Papa” Bell baseball bat, located in our Dart Room. Cool Papa Bell’s daughter gave the bat to owners Joe Edwards and Linda Edwards and included a letter.

Cool Papa Bell is a St. Louis legend, considered by some as one the fastest baseball players in history. He joined the St. Louis Stars (part of the Negro Baseball League) in 1922, leading them to league titles in 1928, 1930 and 1931. He was inducted into the Baseball Hall of Fame in 1974. Blueberry Hill was gifted one of his bats in 1991 after he was inducted into the St. Louis Walk of Fame.

Our huge wall-sized airbrush paintings of Stan Musial and Lou Brock. Fun fact: Lou Brock’s eyes follow you as you walk across the room – it’s an optical illusion – try it!

Most fun experience was dancing on stage with Chuck Berry with coworkers and other concertgoers-definitely a one-of-a-kind experience I’m grateful to have.

Hard to choose just one-I really love the Simpsons collection.

Waiting on Kevin Spacey-he was incredibly nice and stayed late to sign autographs for customers

First time you ever visited BBH (prior to working there):

A friend’s band played a show in the Duck Room-it was a great night
